Ett femårigt sponsoravtal har tecknats som sträcker sig fram till 2019.
Bianchi and Crescent, part of the Cycleurope-group, and Vätternrundan have agreed to continue their collaboration. A five-year sponsorship agreement until 2019 has been signed.
– Fantastic to get the chance to collaborate with such a strong brand for such a long time. This gives us even more power to develop Vätternrundan in the future, comments Vätternrundan’s head of marketing Richard Herrey.
– There was no doubt whether we wanted to be part of Vätternrundan’s future development and efforts. This feels really good, says Andreas Hedbom, CEO Monark Exercise, which sells and markets Bianchi in Sverige.
In 2015, Vätternrundan will celebrate its 50th anniversary, and that with a little extra. Vätternrundan 2014 is already fully booked, but the goal is to give as many as possible the chance to cycle Vätternrundan in the future.
– We consider the future of cycling very positive and Vätternrundan is the most well-managed and influential cycling race in Sweden. Of course, we want to be part of it, says Mårten Nydahl CEO Cycleurope Sverige.
The cycling event Vätternrundan 300 km has been arranged by Motala AIF since 1966. The ride is one of the world’s largest amateur cycling events with participants from 35 countries. Vätternrundan is also the organisation behind the women’s Tjejvättern 100 km, Halvvättern 150 km and Minivättern, which are all arranged in June during bicycle week in Motala.
Vätternrundan is a 300 kilometre long cycling event around Lake Vättern. Start and finish have been in Motala since the beginning in 1966. More than 35,000 participants from the three major rides depart from the pier in Motala.
Cycleurope Sverige AB and Monark Exercise AB are part of the Cycleurope group, which is owned by Grimaldi Industri AB. Today, Cycleurope och Monark Exercise own, market and distribute, among others, the brands Crescent and Bianchi.
