Terms and conditions
1. General
a) These terms and conditions apply to the Shimano “win a 105 Di2-groupset” promotion (the “Promotion”). By participating in the Promotion, you are deemed to have accepted these terms and conditions.
b) The Promotion is organized by Shimano Nordic AB Edsbrogatan 1F, 752 28 Uppsala, Sweden (“Shimano ”) and facilitated by the Vätternrundan organisation.
c) These terms and conditions are governed by and shall be construed in accordance with the laws of Sweden.
d) There is no entry fee required to enter the Promotion.
e) These terms and conditions and all other information regarding the Promotion are visible at vatternrundan.se/en/di2-terms-and-conditions and distributed to registrars of Vätternrundan 2024 via newsletter from the Vätternrundan organisation.
2. Participation
a) The promotion is open to persons aged 18 and over, residing in Sweden. Employees of Shimano, and/or Vätternrundan and its affiliated companies and the immediate family members (spouse, children) and any person directly or indirectly involved in the development or administration of the Promotion, are not eligible to participate or win.
b) The registration period for the competition is open from the 7th of March 2024 , 12:00, to the 10th of April 2024, 23:59. Registrations received outside this time frame will be excluded from the Promotion. No responsibility can be accepted for entries not received for whatever reason.
3. Promotion Rules
a) The winner must be following @Vatternrundans and @Shimanoroad on Instagram
b) The winner must have commented on the relevant post and tagged two other Instagram users.
c) The random selection of the winner will take place on 10th of April, 2024. The winner will be notified by direct message from Shimano on the same date. The winners’ name will be published.
d) If a winner does not confirm acceptance of the prize and share delivery details within 7 days after being contacted by Shimano, the winner is deemed to have rejected the prize and shall no longer be eligible to receive the prize. Shimano may select another winner at random, but shall have no further obligation to do so.
e) Shimano reserves the right to withhold the prize if, in accordance with the conditions in paragraph 3, no winner can be appointed before the 10th of April.
4. Prizes
a) There will be one winner.
b) The winner will receive a 105 Di2-Groupset from Shimano worth approximately 18.000 SEK and can elect to have it mounted onto a compatible frame free of charge at a Shimano service cente. Alternatively, Shimano can send it to the winner’s home address in Sweden.
c) Should the winner elect to have the groupset not mounted at a Shimano service center, the winner waives the right to claim future installation / mounting costs from Shimano.
d) In the event that the winner’s selected bicycle is not compatible with the new groupset, the winner is responsible for providing an alternative bicycle. In the event that the winner does not wish to, or is unable to provide a compatible bicycle, Shimano will deliver the groupset to the winner’s home address and Shimano will not be liable for any future installation / mounting costs.
e) The winner is responsible for any and all other costs related to, but not limited to, travel, collection, frame modifications, new compatible frame, or other components not related to the groupset.
f) All prizes are non-exchangeable, non-transferable, and not redeemable for cash or other prizes.
g) The prize-winner does not need to pay tax for the prize.
5. Data Protection
a) Any personal information that participants provide in connection with the Promotion shall be processed by and via Instagram. The Meta Privacy Policy therefore applies. The winner will be announced on Vätternrundan’s Instagram. The winner’s Instagram account name, ID Number, personal name, telephone number, and home address will be requested to deliver the prize or to mount the prize on the winner’s bike. For the processing of the personal data of the winner the used by Shimano to administer this Promotion, contact participants, and for the other purposes set forth in Shimano’s privacy policy applies located at: www.shimano.com/en/privacypolicy.html. By entering this Promotion, you agree to and accept the privacy policy.
6. Disclaimer
a) Shimano does not accept any liability regarding any damages, of any kind, arising out or related to (participation in) the Promotion.
b) In case of any situation of force majeure Shimano reserves the right to withhold the prizes. Shimano is not obliged to hand out an alternative prize.
c) Unless the context otherwise demands, words importing any gender shall be interpreted to mean any or all genders.
d) Contact details submitted by the participants in order to register for the Promotion will only be used in relation to the Promotion.
